My story really starts on May 3rd, 2007 (5 days after the wedding to my wonderful wife Jennifer), my right knee had been swollen up and hurting for a few years and on this day they went in to see what was wrong, what was found was Synovial Tumors, the surgeon cleaned out my knee and sent me to my room, the night of surgery I need to go to the bathroom and while standing waiting for a walker I put all my weight on a right leg that had been completely blocked and has ZERO feeling (REAL smart move on my part), I went straight down to the floor bending my freshly cut open knee completely in half allowing blood to get into the joint and 2 weeks later form into a Staphylococcus infection!! I was living in Tulare California at the time with my new bride and our two teenage boys!! When I was finally diagnosed with Valley Fever on June 19, 2008 I had already received a new knee, so I had a prosthetic knee put into an infected joint!!! Here is a list of the surgeries that Valley Fever has had an effect on either directly or indirectly in my life!!!

Here is what my knee currently (6/28/2015) looks like! I have very little muscle mass left in my right leg and without some kind of pain management I live in constant 24/7 pain, can’t go up and down stairs normally and inclines just about kill me and FORGET about a bike with a motor or without!!!
So what has Valley Fever cost me!
My right knee TWICE
My 20+ Year Career in the Computer Industry
My ability to ride a motorcycle
My ability to walk very far and outside of my home it’s with a cane and not very far!
I am currently scheduled to have a new knee put in on July 9th, 2015 so hopefully this list will change for the better. I will update this after that date!!
